Argyll & Bute Council Community HUB is now open in Kilcreggan
What is a council community HUB?
Cove & Kilcreggan Community Hub and Argyll and Bute Council are working in partnership to create a Council Community Hub located in the Post Office/Shop in the village of Kilcreggan, Argyll. This will provide a range of council resources including council forms, leaflets and information for the public. The Council Community Hub is a hyper-local public gateway that complements the council’s main Service Point in Helensburgh and other contact channels.
When will members of the public be able to access the Council Community HUB?
The Cove & Kilcreggan Council Community Hub was launched on Tuesday 1st of October 2024 and is open to the public 6 days per week during the Post Office/Shop opening hours of:
Monday 9.a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. until 3.30 p.m. Tuesday 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. until 3.30 p.m. Wednesday 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. until 3.30 p.m. Friday 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. until 3.30 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
What will the HUB Provide?
Information and advice about Argyll and Bute Council services via posters and leaflets.
A stock of commonly requested hard copy forms used to request services or benefits from the council, for those customers who cannot or prefer not to complete them online.
It will signpost customers to appropriate digital services where applicable and has an interactive touch screen linked to the council website.
Members of the public will be able to get a coloured print out of their bin calendar if they live within the Cove and Kilcreggan area.
There will be person-to-person assistance for Council services available to members of the public who are unable to make the journey to Helensburgh Customer Service Point. The Hub will help direct them to the correct council service to assist with their enquiry.
The Post Office has an existing PayStation where payment for council services can be made.
